My reaction to movie: Baraka
Baraka is an interesting movie, but there are so many sad and sorrow scenes. Many of them were taken in Cambodia including temples in Angkor Wat's area in Siem Reap province, Toul Sleng museum and killing field in Phnom Penh city. Before I think that there is only Cambodia that the leader of the country kill his own people. Cambodian people are suffer from the civil wars more than 3 decades. But right now, I know that not only Cambodian people have such as feeling, other people from other countries around the world also have such feeling. I feel very upset when I see the Toul Sleng and Killing field in the movie. I always keep thinking why during Pol Pot regime, Pol pot killed million of his own people. In last century, Pol Pot was the strong and power full among other Cambodian leaders. In contrast, he was bloody leader of all time.

What is love mean to you?
People understand and give the meaning of love in many different ways based on their level of knowledge, education, living condition, and so on. No wonder, the following definitions are given based major of study. Aha, here are some funny definition of love.

Geography: Love is a strange phenomenon in side the heart which is bigger and stronger than the earth quake and tsunami.
Physics: Love is super power which is powerful than the earth tension to push and pull things together
Literature: Love is a book which reads from the beginning to the end and understand nothing.

My parent's objection
Hi Mom, Dad,
Today, I have one thing to tell you about what I already decided to do. I want to buy a brand new car. I do no need a every expensive cars "Lexus or Mercedes". What I want is a cheap car, but it must be a brand new. That's it. No big deal. I do not know what you think about it. But, I just want to let you know that I really want it. I really need it. It is very important to me. Anyway, you might think that i am out off my mind. I will go back to Cambodia after finishing school why I need to buy a brand new car. Second hand car is good enough for me to drive in here for couple year. Moreover, it costs a lot of money. I know that a brand new car costs more money than a second hand car but a brand new card has a lot more benefit than a second hand car, it is not broken down easily. The cost of maintenance in the here is super expensive. It is not only expensive, but I have to spend time to take care of it when it is broken. Sometime it takes about two or three days to fix it, if it is serious damage to the engine. The money that we spend on the parts and services and amount of time that I have to wait on the old car cost much much more than buying a new car. Finally, I am strongly believe that both of you agree with me.

My movie: 21
I just want to share with everybody about the movie called "21". Let me begin telling you the story.
21 is a true story of fix students at Massachusetts Institute of Technology who get trained to be an expert in counting the card and win million dollars from Las Vegas casinos.
Ben is one among the six students, who has gifted mind, wants a scholarship to study at Harvard medical school. He tries to convince the professor at Harvard to give him the scholarship. The professor asks Ben to explain what makes him special? What can Ben tell that is going to dazzle him? Ben tell the story when he was studying at MIT. One day, Micky, a professor at MIT, who is very good at calculating and counting card, Blackjack, find out that Ben is very talent and can make him a lot of money. He wants Ben to join his team which has 5 people who are very genius. He tried to convince Ben to join his team. Ben has a part time job at menswear store for only 8 dollars per hours. Ben decides to join the team because he wants to make money to pay for his medical school at Harvard. This group of students get special trained how to count the card, they can know what card left in the desk to they can bet, and they never lost. They are still students so they go to Las Vegas only on weekend. He makes a lot of money from counting the card. Ben has another team of three people who study at MIT with him. He team up with his old friends to design the robot to join a competition. Ben spends too much time with counting card and playing blackjack card. He has problem with old team. So his friends decide to break up this team because he does not pay attention and share to the project. After that he lost a lot of money because he is gambling not counting the card, do not follow the rule. He has problem with his professor. He breaks up with Micky and he decides to play with his team by his own money. After that, the body guard in the casino found out that he is counting the card and cheating. They let Ben go because they want a professor because Ben’s professor who used to counting the card in their casino when he was young. Ben promises with those guys to take his professor to those guys. Ben loses everything included money, school, and friends. By telling this story, he gets a scholarship to study at Harvard medical school because the professor thinks that Ben’s story dazzles him.
For me, the 21 is a very good movie and a real story. I feel so amazing that people can do that. I wonder how many genius people in world can do that. It is an interesting movie. Isn't it? do not believe in me, go to the store store and buy or rent this movie and watch it. It is good for me, but it might not be good for you. My movie: Shanghai Kiss
Before I go to bed, I want to tell you another story. If I feel sleepy, I will go to sleep. I finish telling you this story tomorrow or whenever I have time. The previous movie is about love affair but this movie is about a true love of a Chinese guy and an American high school girl. It is also a good movie about love. Now it is 2:27Am in the morning, I cannot sleep and don't even feel sleepy. I have to go to bed. I need to relax now. Life is sucked! Oh forget about this. Today, I feel very good and hope that I will have a good night sleep tonight. OK, back to the story, I tell you about a movie call "Shanghai Kiss".
This movie is about a Chinese guy, Liam who was born in New York and does not speak Chinese at all. He accidentally gets involved with a high school girl. He is unwilling involved himself with her. He gets a phone call from his father that his grandmother in china is passed away. He is inherited his grandmother’s house in Shanghai. His father orders him to go to Shanghai. He has a friend who is a computer genius. Unfortunately, he is very poor in relationship especially with a girl. When He hangs out with his friend, he always gives some advices to his friend about girls. It is sound very funny that a computer genius guy rarely has girlfriend. He goes to Shanghai to sell his home. When he arrives at Shanghai, he feels he really likes Shanghai, belongs to Shanghai and wants to move to live in Shanghai. His big house is located in a very good place and he can see a real beauty of the city of Shanghai. It can be sold in very cheap price so he keeps his house. In Shanghai, he has very bad experiences because he is Chinese and he cannot speak Chinese. People in Shanghai cannot understand him. For example, he takes a taxi from his home to the hotel. A taxi driver does not understand where he wants to go. He drivers to some places. He says he is American; he born in New York. At a private pub, he meets a poor and beautiful girl who is a girlfriend of a gangster. He does not know she is a girlfriend of a gangster at the time he meets her. Three days later, he comes back to LA to say goodbye to his friend, father and a high school girl. He decides to move to live in Shanghai because he falls in love with a girl who he meets in a pub for just three days. He realizes that he is Chinese,and he wants to live in Shanghai even he does not know how so speak Chinese. One day, he is fought by a group of gangster. He finally knows that a girl he loves is a girlfriend of a gangster. He is a nice and generous guy, he does not angry with her because he knows that she is a poor girl in Shanghai. She has to take care of her parents, brothers and sisters. She forces herself to married to a gangster. Gangsters have a lot of money, after gets married, she hopes her family will lives in a better life. He gives his home to her and comes back to LA. He gains a lot of experiences in Shanghai. He loves a high school girl but she is so young.
I cannot explain every thing and in detail about the movie but the movie is sound very good to me. It is talking about love entire movie. I love one sentence from this movie. The sentence contains this phrase "maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow but soon". I do not clearly understand this phrase but I can understand.

My movie: meet Bill
To day, I watched a movie called "Meet Bill". It is comedy. now, midnight, I cannot sleep. I want to tell you about a very much sad story about bill. Why I said it comedy and why I tell you about his sad story? Yes, I am sure that it is a very funny movie. Bill is a funny guy; unfortunately, he had an awful life. Let me begin telling you about the movie.
A poor Bill gets married to a rich girl whose father owns a bank. He has a boring life, a dishonest wife, and a very boring job as executive vice president at his father in law’s bank.
Bill has become a mentor to a school kid after his father’s company support a school. He is not willing to be a mentor, but the school kid wants him to be his mentor. Bill is a very nice guy and the kid likes him very much. One day, when he arrives home from work, he steps into his bed room, he accidentally hears his wife talking sweetly and softly to someone on a phone. He has a suspicious about a strange behavior of his wife. He borrows a Camcorder from his brother to spy on his wife. A few days later, his life becomes very messy after finding out that his wife has an affair with a guy who is a TV’s porter and his wife introduces this guy to him at the company. He figures out and be sure that the guy in the camera must be a reporter. Bill looks for that guy and fights with that guy. After fighting with that guy, he gets arrested. He does his best to get a donut store. He has funny days with his little friend, a school kid when he is away from his wife. The kid also finds a plan to help him to get his wife back. Finally, His wife feels very ashamed and really guilty for him and agrees with his plan to buy a donut store. Unfortunately, he resigns from his father in Law Company and does not want a donut store. He is no longer need a donut store, a job and helps or anything from his wife family. He lastly gets nothing but a happy life.
It sounds very much sad when talking about his story; however, the movie is really funny. It has become commons and happened everywhere when a poor guy married to a rich girl and has such a terrible life. I like this movie very much. When you watch this movie, I hope you will like it too. I highly recommend this movie to you.

A few days later, his life becomes very messy after finding out that his wife has an affair with a guy who is a TV’s porter and his wife introduces this guy to him at the company. He figures out and be sure that the guy in the camera must be a reporter. Bill looks for that guy and fights with that guy. After fighting with that guy, he gets arrested. My Insomnia
Now, it is almost 1 AM mid night, I do not know why I cannot sleep. I went to bed since 12 Am, until now, I still cannot get my sleep. Once again I cannot sleep. This time I want to write something in the blog rather than play computer game. Writing blog could make me fall asleep. I do not know, I have to try this way. I hope it could help me sleep. Everything comes to my mind again and again. I think back to my life style in Cambodia, my family, and friends. I think I have homesickness or something wrong with my health or my brain that why I cannot sleep again. Oh maybe my nervous system is no working properly in the last few days. I really miss my family. I know I cannot go to visit them tomorrow, but I hope I will visit them soon. When I think about my life in Cambodia, it was my happy time ever. I really wanted to come to America to study, work and live here when I was in Cambodia. I believed that living, studying and working in here must be great. In fact, everything is not going smoothly as I think. By the way, after study and live here for nearly one year, I think "oh my god, my life in America is totally sucked". Life is sucked everywhere. I really hate it. I do not want to stay and study here every time I think about living in here. I want to go back to my home country and live with my family. I feel that I lack of confident now. Just want to say something because I cannot sleep. I hope after writing this blog, I will get my sleep. Everything will be fine tomorrow. Tomorrow is a new day. new day brings new life. New days must be good.
My Birthday
Friday last week is my birthday, it was kind of boring birthday. I did not have any special party also when I was in Cambodia. Normally, I only had dinner with family then I went out to drink with my friends. I had a very enjoyable drinking party on my birthday. I really love drinking. On my first birthday in America, I had dinner with my Chinese and Vietnamese friends who work for CSUF's IT Department. I really had fun with them. I drank two big classes of beer. The beer tasted very good. I liked it. Anyhow, after eating and drinking, I had to come home early. I really wanted to drink more and more until I got drunk. I like drinking very much. When I arrived home, I felt so sleep. I really wanted to go to bed. However, when I went to bed, I could not sleep. I tried to get to sleep for a while, I still could not sleep. I had to do something besides sleeping. I decided to play computer game. I had a few game in my desktop computer. I did not want to play game. I wanted to do something to make me sleepy; however, game could not make me sleepy. It stayed me awake. I went back to sleep again. Luckily, I could sleep at this time. Everything still came to my head before I could sleep. It was a very unhappy holiday for me. I wanted to spend my holiday with friends and family. I could enjoy eating and drink with all of them and had fun with them. I wanted to go club or karaoke with them to have a lot more fun but they had to go back home. In here, alone, I could not enjoy and had fun with persons I love. On my birthday, I spent time with my computer all the time. My life in America is sucked now. I really do not know what to do to make life better. Sound very boring holiday I've ever had.

My Interesting Research Topic
This morning, I tried to figure out what the research topic seemed very interesting to me. Finally, I found the Mobile Operating System very interesting. People might not care about the operating system or some people even do not care what it is. For example, when they want to buy an IPhone, most people do not know what IPhone’s operating is. They know only IPhone has a very friendly user interface, touch sensitive, and other cold features. Some people might know a lot about what operating system is and do some comparisons among those operating systems before they decide to buy those mobile phones. I talk a lot about operating system, but I do not give a definition of the mobile operating system yet. What is that? The mobile operating system is system software that manages the hardware resources and provides services and resources for other applications. Wikipedia has lot information about mobile operating system including Apple’s IOS, Google’s Android, Microsoft’s Windows mobile 7, HP’s WebOS, Nokia’s Symbian, RIM’s Blackbery OS, Intel’s MeGo, Samsung’s Beda, and many other operating systems. Among all the operating system, there are a few operating systems which are very popular such as IOS, Android, and Windows Mobile 7. At the moment, people seem really like to buy the mobile devices; for instant, Mobile Smart Phone, IPad, and Tablet than laptop computer. Hence, the operating system in those devices are the main focus and competitive for those developers and companies. In my research study, I try to find out which mobile operating system will be the most well-known and popular operating system in the future? Why it is so popular? What are the main important features? And how stable it is?

My Spring Break
When I think about holiday, I feel very happy and good about it, but I do not know where I should go, how I can go that places and how much I pay for my trips. Anyway, I have a lot of plans for this spring break. I am very happy when I can complete one of my missions. Some people might say, I plan a hundred, but never do what I plan. I have to plan all the things that I want to do. Anyhow, I do not need to do all the stuff that I plan at one time. I can do it later on when I have free time. It is not urgent or affect my life's style. I enjoy the pleasure on what I can do. If I cannot do, I should forget it or plan it carefully to make it happen later. I do not know much about American so I do not have a lot to plan.
New York is the first place and first choice if I have time to visit. I do not know how New York is. Some of my friends said New York is very good city. There are many attractive places to see. Hence, I really want to see how good and amazing New York is. I want to visit a statue of liberty. I saw it in the movie. It is very big, strong and beautiful. Oh, I almost forget about the time square which I wanted to go to visit this New Year. Unfortunately, I could not go at that time. I really miss it. At this time, when I go to New York, I have to visit time square. Another beautiful and famous place in New York is Brooklyn Bridge. It is one among the oldest suspension bridges in the world. I should not miss this chance to see this beautiful bridge. I have to take my time to get to know about New York as much as possible.
Las Vegas is my second choice. Last Vegas might be a heaven for gambler. Not really, some people can find good places either if they are not gamblers. When I watched the movie called 21, I really love Las Vegas. Some part of the movie talked about the Las Vegas and it is a very beautiful place. There are many nice hotels and resort. As I know, Grand Canyon is one among the top attractive place for tourists. I think it is very beautiful place because it is listed in the top 10 beautiful places in Las Vegas. Another man made beautiful place is Hoover Dam. I should go to see this mega structure. While I visit the Hoover Dam I can visit the Colorado River also. Two in one, I should not miss this chance.
I also want to visit some of my American friends in San Francisco again. I used to go to San Francisco once when I first arrived in America. I really like it. It is so beautiful. The golden gate bridge is amazing mega structure over there. I want to see it again. I never meet those guys so I should visit them again. When I visited San Francisco, It was very turf for me. I did not have much time to spend with my friends over there. I stayed there for only one day. I had to come back in the next morning. I missed everything over there even I visited only time.
During this spring break, I should go wherever I can rather than stay at home, watch TV, surf internet, and go online cheat chat with my friends in Cambodia. I should go as many places as I can. I have to take care of my awesome plan. If I do not pay attention about those plan. In this spring break, I will stay home.

My Speaking Animal
The world must be awesome, animal can talk with human. We will have more family members. Anyway, I do not know which language should animal know and talk with human. Suppose all animal around the world, speak different languages. Animal in Cambodia speaks Khmer, animal in China speaks Chinese, and animal in the United States speaks English, and so on so forth. At the time animal speaking human language there are some good thing and bad thing which human have to face with.
People will know a lot about the nature from the animal, and we can prevent some natural catastrophes. Some animals know very well about the nature. For example, animal can detect the earthquake or tsunami. A dog can detect cancer. People can buy a machine that can work like this kid of dog. Some animal researchers will have a lot of jobs to do and researches. Everything must be done carefully because all animal can talk to everybody and they have a lot of complains. Maybe some government might legalize some animal laws again human and allow animal to sue human. In addition, people have to take a good care of animals. When animal can speak, they have many thing like human. Human have to treat them equally.
Not only scientists or researchers that have a lot of thing to do but a programmer like me also have a lot job to do either. Programmer has to write some computer applications that some animals can use in order to communicate with human. Aha, programmer will have a lot job and can make a lot of money. When they can speak, I think they will want to learn character, symbol and grammar of any languages. For instant, if they come to Fullerton to study English what so happen. Wow, I forget my English teacher ALP. They must be super busy because many animals enroll in ALP program. Oh ho, not only human come from other country to study English in America, animals might join this program too. I cannot imagine how Fullerton will be when many animals enroll in the ALP program and some dangerous animal come to study English at ALP and sit next to you. However, don’t worry animals might know the rules and will not eat anybody.
We will know some animal secret. As I know dog and cat never goes along with each other. When they can speak, we will not question about this anymore. We know the reason they do not like each other. We can help them to get along with each other.
People might not eat meat and become a vegetarian or we might not have enough meat to eat or might not kill animal for food any more or animal might implore the human not to kill or eat members of their family or government is not allow people to eat animal. People will not have enough food if people do not eat animal life. Animal is the main food for human. Some people consume eat every day.
I believe all animals have their languages, at the present time, maybe no one studies or learns about animal languages or some animal languages are being learned or known by some animal researcher or scientists. . I think animals cannot speak human language, but human is smartest animal on the planet, and human has ability to learn and study all the animal languages and we will understand all animal language in the near future.
Oh! What will happen if all animal can speak only my language? Cambodia will be very famous. Everyone in Cambodia will have a job and high salary. Other people all around the world will hire Cambodian guys to teach them animal languages or translate those animal languages for them. lolz, unfortunately, it will not and cannot happen in my life.

My Lovely Advices
When I was in Cambodia, I think I really successful, I have a good job in a government institution. I have many things and can have something that I want and need. However, I had a lot of friends. I could afford to hang out with friends in restaurant, karaoke, and club almost every day. I really had a very enjoyable life. I really missed my life style in Cambodia. However, I did not want to try something in Cambodia. Anyhow, I really want to go to outside the box. I did not want to stay only in Cambodia. I went to all the provinces when I was in Cambodia. I know a lot about Cambodia. I wanted to other countries. I went to Thailand, Vietnam and Malaysia. I did not want to go to those counties. I wanted to come to the United States only. I decided to come to America for further study because a friend of mine could help me in processing document and deal with the school in here. When I arrived here for the first time, I did not know what I decided is right or wrong. Sometime, I thought I was wrong. I should enjoy my life in Cambodia rather than come for nothing. I have no friends, no family, no house, no car, and other thing that I need and want. It is very difficult for me when I want or need something. I do not get used to the way people living in here and also the weather. Furthermore, I always blamed myself that I wasted a lot of my time and money.
After watching many the professional presentation video on Ted.com, one day, I found out one presentation which is presented by Richard St. John, I know that i am right that I decided to come here to study. If I stayed enjoying my life in Cambodia, sooner or later, I might have trouble because of my behaviors. He said “success is a continuous journey”. Most people get success and then failure, because they are really successful; they do not need to do anything else; they enjoy their life with what they have; and they might forget to do some necessary thing that they should do. I think I am the one of those people because I feet satisfy with something that I have in my country. I do not want to do something to improve or maintain my life style. I feel relax and enjoy my life. I think that when i reach at one level and I feel very happy with it. I think I am very successful. I do not need to do anything else or to improve further. Some people might thing like I do and still continue doing it. But it is completely wrong. Life is not that. I do not know about these kinds of things. Luckily, that I made the right decision. I realize that I am on the right track I should continue my journey even I was so successful. When I stop, I will fail when I fail I have to spend a lot more time to make it happens again. I have to try harder and harder to keep my successful forever.
I think another advice also influence me a lot. I change the way I do things a lot after watching his presentation. “Keep your goals to yourself” Dereck Sivers. Normally, when I have new ideas or tasks or jobs that I desire or want to complete, I always tell my other people such as friends and family. I am always proud of myself and feel very happy. After telling other people about my goals, I try and try to make success. Unfortunately, I am rarely success all the jobs that I told my friends. I do not know what is going on with me, what is wrong with me, and why I cannot complete those jobs. According to what he said, telling someone your goals makes them less likely to happen because we feel that we have already done something and we feel satisfy with what we have done and we will feel less motivation to a hard work. In order to succeed in doing something, we need to do some hard works. Right now I know that why I fail so many times. It is a very good advice to me. I have to try making jobs done before I tell other people.
Some advices change only the way I think and the way I do. Moreover, this advice changes my attitude. I talk to myself that I have two legs and two hands, am very normal, and look like other people. Why I cannot do something that other people can. Sometime I am very disappointed and angry with myself. Why I cannot do this, why I cannot do that, and why I am so stupid. When I fail the exam, I want to give up, and I do not want to study anymore. Maybe I enjoy life too much, when I meet any difficulties, I cannot challenge them. After I see Nick Vujicic video clip for the first time, I cannot believe in my eyes. He has not arms and no legs; however, he can live and he is very successful in life. How can he make it? I do not know he is happy or not. Anyway he said he is happy and he loves his life. He teaches me how to work very hard to get what I want and need and do not give up easily. If I fall down, I have to get up and try again and again until I can do it. I never meet an obstacle that I have to strive a hundred times. For him, before he could get up, and he tried more than 100 times. He does not give up. If he gives up, he cannot get up. To get up, it is very easy for us, but for him, it is not easy. Why I cannot like him? He gives me a great advice how to live a happy life. When I face a problem, I have to solve it. If I fail, I have to try again and do not give up. I encourage myself, I try my best and I will do it.
I think everyone know Steve Job, the founder and the CEO of Apple. He never graduates from university; however, he is so successful in life. I remember when he says “Stay hungry stay foolish”. I really do not know what he has said for the first time. Now I understand the real meaning of his advice. I think it is happening in Cambodia right now. Cambodia is one among the least developing countries in the world. People are hunger of knowledge and they try their best to go to study. People do not have enough resource to learn; anyhow they know the art of knowledge sharing. It is very good advice for me, I think I am very hungry of knowledge and I want to learn and improve my professional skill. Don’t hesitate for knowledge and don’t wait for too long. Time never stop coming and life is short. Don’t afraid of studying; please come to study more and more. The more you learn, the more knowledge you gains. When you success in life or your goal, you have time to enjoy your life.

My Foods
At the present time, some people might think that the United States is the country which mixes of many nationalities from all over the world. The United States is a huge country. People have different kind of food. They might have their own food, or their regional food. So we feel confusing and do not know for sure about the American food. In fact, people live in America know for sure that when we talk about America food, we mention about fast food such as bread, burger, hamburger, cheeseburger, French fry, hotdog, cheese, sausage, bacon, fried chicken and soda such as coke and Pepsi. Burger, Friend fry, and hotdog are originally from Germany, but they are adopted to be American food for along time. In addition, we can say that burger is American typical food and McDonald can be represents the American food. When people talk about American food, majority people think about McDonald. If we search on internet about American food, we will see the first page of the result is hamburger.
Hamburger is not the only traditional American food. Some parts of America, people can enjoy sea food in some season. In modern society, people are very busy and they do not have enough time to cook, so they usually go to eat out and go to fast food restaurant. The fast food restaurant is their best choices due to the time constraint. Being a student, I am very busy and sometime do not have time to cook; however, I rarely eat fast food. Moreover, fast food is not good for health. It contains a lot of fat, sugar, oil, Eco-lite meat, chemical substances and toxic. If we eat fast food every day, we will have many kinds of health problems. For example, high blood pressure, fate, high cholesterol, and diabetes. I like to eat hamburger one in a while, anyhow, I like salad. Salad is healthy food. I am not vegetarian, but I really like salad.
Cambodian is a small, and an agricultural country. Many kinds of fruits, vegetables and meats are plentiful and fresh. People are very busy working and making money, but people still want to buy fresh food, so they do not keep their food in the refrigerator. They have to go to the market to buy food every day. Unlike food in America, food in Cambodia is always fresh, no chemical added, and no coloring. Most Cambodian foods are made of fish and vegetables. They contain less cholesterol and fat. The main ingredient of the Khmer food is called “Prohok”. It is like a cheese but it is made of fished. When you go to visit Cambodia, don’t forget try some Cambodian foods such as “Prohok”. It is stinky but the taste is very good. Foods which are made of fish give high protein and do not have cholesterol like chicken, pork or beef. I really love my Cambodian foods. When I am talking about Cambodian foods especially the foods that I like, when I think of them, they make my mouth water. I am here for couple months, I rarely eat them and I miss them so much.

My Optimistic Quote

Some people always think in the bad ways, everything is very bad, and difficult to solve or cannot be solved. Even they have a good opportunity, they still afraid of this and that, they do not take their good opportunity. Let the opportunity goes to someone else. They take the problems in the serious condition all the time. Anyway, some people always think a good way. Everything is good, everything is fine. We can do it. The problem can be solved. They usually find the good opportunity every time. No matter how difficult it is they still find a good opportunity in it.
I think it might be right and wrong. It is depending on the personal characteristic. Some people are not pessimistic; however, they think a lot about the problems, do not want to take high risk, and want to study in deep about the problems before they take actions. When they think too much they cannot do anything. They are too worried about the situation. Sometime the situation is simple but they think it is serious. In contrast, some other people are also not optimistic about the situation; however, they always think everything is too easy. They do not care much about the other factors around the problems and what the cause and what the effect of the problem. They think everything can be solved easily, and do not need to spend time studying about the problems. When they think, it is too easy and it can be dangerous when they start working with the problems.
It is a good quote to learn. Not all the quotes are right. People have to take in considerations. Don’t think too much, sometime it is simple. However, don’t take it easy, it is not easy as you think. We have to spend time studying the problem in order to make sure that it is safe to implement. Don’t take action too quick or don’t take too much time before doing it. Opportunity comes very quick like thunder. If we don’t take care of it, someone else will take care of it. People make a lot of mistake when they working on simple job. If sometime is very simple, we have to keep it simple. If it is serious, we have to be careful about it before working on it.
I am a little pessimistic about doing something. I have to spend time doing something to get to know the problem or something before I start to work on it. I made a lot of mistake when I try to make a decision at the moment I know the problem. Based on my bad experiences, I do not make any decision before I know the problem well. Me & My Friend
One of my friends who I knew since I was in university is my best friends. When we were in university, we usually went out together to study, have lunch, and dinner, play football, and games and joined other activities together. Other friends think we are alike. I think we are alike for the first time. While I tried to take notes and compared between me and my best friend, I found out that my best friends and I are different in many ways. I could not make up my mind until compared hobbies, beliefs, like and dislikes.
We have similar kind of hobbies like and dislike. We sometime spent a whole night together to play computer game. I like spending money on new handheld, electronic, and computer hardware, computer accessary, and my friends like to spend a lot more money than I do. His major is computer the same as me. I like playing table tennis and played table tennis almost every day, likewise, he like playing table tennis and spent sometimes play it with us. Both my friend and I do not have girlfriends.
Something that I think we are 100% opposites are I like drinking beer, wine, whiskey, red wine, and almost all kind of alcohol, but he does not like drinking that alcohol. Every time we had dinner together, I drank a lot of beer, whereas he drank water, coke or fruit juice. I sometime went out to drink beer at club or karaoke at night. In contrast, he stayed at home and watch movie or play computer game at home.
We have majority differences but we still have some points in commons that why we still best friends. After I put everything to compared, I think that me and my best are different. However, we are good friends. We always hang out together to do exercise, play sport and sometime we have dinner or lunch together.

My Transportation
Why do I need a car if I can walk? I can save a lot of money, energy and environment. I walk to school every day, it takes me about 15 minutes to go to school and 15 minutes to go back home. I do not need to go to gym, steam or sauna to exercise or to make me healthy because 30-minute-walk every day is like exercise and enough for me. Anyway, I like driving and I have a California driver license; unfortunately, I do have a car and I do not need a car at the present. I really want to own a car but not at the moment. If I have a car, it will be good and very easy for me because I can go somewhere on the weekend or on the holiday. I can go to visit my friends. In addition, I do not need call my friends to pick me up all the times whenever I want to visit him or somewhere else. Since I arrived here, I drive a car for several times. I like driving in LA. I feel very safe when I drive on freeway, and I can drive very fast.
Taking the bus is terrible. I hate taking the bus, but I have take a bus for sometime when I want to go somewhere, or visit my friends when they are busy and cannot come to pick me up for some reasons. From my house to my friends' house, I have to change three or four buses and it takes very long compared to driving a car. I have to wait for the bus at the bus stop about 15 minutes before I can get into the bus and every time I change the bus. onetime I started to suffer from dizzy because the bus was unstable and stopped almost every bus stop to pick up and drop passengers. Moreover, the bus is normally crowded and has strange smell because some people use strong perfume, cologne, or body spray and some people get seat and have bad smell. I cannot take a bus whenever I want. I have to manage and plan carefully before I go somewhere. I feel uncomfortable to take the bus to go somewhere. It might ruin your schedule and times.
In Cambodia, the bus system is worse than California’s. Most buses are old, crowded and have a bad smell. In Phnom Penh, we cannot find the bus because the bus is available only from Phnom Penh, capital city of Cambodia, to other provinces and from one province to other provinces. When I was in Cambodia, I took a bus to visit my parents several times a year. When I stepped on the bus, I felt very strange and boring. Anyhow, I felt very happy when I arrived at my home town. Majority of people have their own transportations especially motorbike. Phnom Penh is small so motorbike is the best solution for transportation. Many motor taxis are available anywhere, anytime(24/7/365). In Khmer, we call “Motor Dup”. We can take motor dup anywhere in the city at reasonable price. We sometime see taxi in the city. Nevertheless, we have to book or call the taxi company by phone to pick us up before time or leave or go any places because we hardly find them in some places.

I love slow and romantic song as I already mentioned in my first journal "All about me." I love many songs but one among the top of favorite songs is a very romantic song called when a man loves a woman. I can say this is one of the reasons that I love this song. Every time I listen to this song I know the true love of a man for a woman.
I am not sure when I heard about this song for the first time and how did I get this song in my computer. As I remember, if I was not wrong, I got this lovely and romantic song from my friend who worked with me in Cambodia when I asked him to copy me a few romantic songs.
The meaning of the song is very good for me. I think it is true. All the man is like that when he loves a woman, a man will give a woman the world, the moon, and everything he got and He can die for a woman. In real life, some man dies or willing to die for his girlfriend or wife. After I listened to this song for several times, I feel that a man has a true love for woman; however, a man might get suffering from his true love. My Weather
The weather in California is very cool for me except summer. I cannot stand for this kind of cool weather, I have to wear jackets one or two layers to keep me warm; however, I still feel very cool. I don’t like this weather. In Cambodia, there two main seasons, dry season and rainy season. In rainy season, the weather is warm and sometime, it drops to 22 degrees Calculus; nevertheless, it rain almost every day. It is very difficult for me to go out to work, go back home or to somewhere else. In this period of time, it is so cloudy, windy, and foggy for sometimes. Houses and other properties are destroyed almost every during this season. When I hear thunder I feel frighten because in the last few years, the lightning is very dangerous. It kills a few people each year. In contrast, in dry season, the weather is very hot and wet. In the day time, the weather goes up to 40 degrees Celsius. I get sweat all the time when I go out. I have to stay in the air conditioning in order to keep me warm and comfortable. The drought has huge impact on the crop production.
The weather in California is different from Cambodia. I Love both weathers for the same reasons but in different seasons. I enjoy weather in California in the summer time and harvest time in Cambodia. Summer weather in California is very good for me because it is not so cool like other season. During that time, I don’t need to wear a jacket to keep me warm. The sunny is shinny almost every day. We can see the clear blue sky because it is not so cloudy. Moreover, I never see the storm, heavy rain, fog, or lighting since I arrived here. In Cambodia, during two-month period of harvest time, the weather is very good for me. During that period, the low temperature is about 20 degree Celsius and it is a very good weather of the year in my country. I can enjoy the cool weather of year. I can see it cool for some reason but I still can enjoy seeing the sunshine in the morning and the sunset in the evening. The weather in Cambodia, most of the time, it is hot but I like it. I feel that I am very familiar with this weather.

My Fears
I have many fears that I am afraid of. Most fears, I can handle them and turn them into normal when I get used to it. However, some of them, I do not know how to handle up until now. I try to get used to them. Unfortunately, no matter how hard I try, I still cannot control them.
1. Fear of taking exams
I don’t know how many exams that I have taken since I started my first class at school up until now; although, I still afraid of taking exams. I try to prepare and be ready before the exams, but during the exam, I still nervous and forget everything I prepare and I don’t know where and what should I start doing the exams. I try to calm down, and keep confusing on exams. Moreover, I always encourage and I talk to myself that I can do it, I will pass this exam. I cannot stop the time, and I have to keep working on my test. Finally, I can finish all tests with or without confidences. Sometime I don’t know what I did during exam because I feel so confusing, and I feel like I don’t know anything about the exam. Only the time will tell I can or cannot control this feeling. I will be crazy if I have exam every day. Happily, I do not it.
2. Fear of doing something in a hurry
I don’t like anybody tell me to complete any jobs for short period of time. Fortunately, when I was in Cambodia, my boss never ordered me to do something in a hurry, but one in a while, he asked to do that and I can do half of the job; eventually, he accept what I have done because he knew that I tried my best and very hard to fulfilled the task. Sean always gives me a pop up writing essay in just 30 minutes, yet I don’t blame him because he wants me to be a good writer. I need more time than other people to do some jobs because I cannot do any things quickly as other people do. Maybe it is my culture or habit. I always do something very slow.
3. Fear of flying
I don’t like to fly to anywhere. I hate talking the fly. One hour on the plan like on month on the earth. I always keep thinking about this and that. Stupid things pop up in my mind every minute. I cannot stop myself from thinking. I try to take some sleep; on the other hand, I cannot sleep. Some people try to take some beer or wine to make them fall asleep. Anyway, I do not want to drink beer or wine to make me sleepy in the airplane. I usually look at the LCD screen to know where I am now, when I will arrive. When I had a trip to Malaysia, this was my first time that I took an airplane. I feel very frighten; nonetheless, I could handle it because it took only two hours. When I took an airplane to America, it was a very changeling for me. I had to fly from Phnom Penh to Seoul for six hours and From Seoul to Los Angeles for nine hours. It was a crazy time for me. If I can avoid talking a fly I will. When I graduate, I will go back to Cambodia and will not fly back to America.
4. Fear of snake
I hate and afraid of snake that is still alive, but I love to eat snake because the taste is very delicious. I am allergic to the snake. Whenever I see the snakes I will throw something to force them to go away from me. Some snake is not dangerous, no poison, and cannot kill me; however, I feel very bad about snake. I used to touch the snake. It made me so frightened. I don’t want to touch it. I don’t know how I can tell you about its skin. It is very smooth, red and shiny. It looks wet but it is not. Sometime I wonder why some people love snakes very much, raise them in their home, and treat them as pets.
5. Fear of death
Some people might not afraid of death, but I feel not good when I think about that. Whenever I think about it, I could do any things. I don’t know what I should do or what I need to do if someone told me I will die tomorrow. I sometime think about what will happen to me. It sounds like crazy when I think of death. Truly, I will die someday but why I need to afraid of death. I stop thinking about it when I try to convince myself that I have a lot of time and thing to do before I am death. I will be death but maybe I will die at age of 80 or something, I don’t need to care about that.
6. Fear of losing beloved persons.
Some people might have bad experiences of losing some value properties such as money, car, jewels, gems, diamond, gold, cell phone, or laptop and priceless properties such as key, pen, pencils, unused stuff, sun glasses or shoes. When losing something, I feel a little bit said; but a few days later, I will forget it. When losing a person I loved, it took me years to forget. When I was young, I always slept next to my grandfather and played with him. My grandfather passed away when I was 10 years old. At that time, I was very young, but I still had this feeling. I cried and felt very sad. I always cried when I think about my grandfather and I played together. It took me about three years to forget this fear. Losing family members or person I love is the thing that I fear the most. If I could stop the clock, I would. I want to keep the happy hour that I spend with my grandfather and I do not want to lost him and also other people who I love.

I don’t like to fly to anywhere. I hate talking the fly. One hour on the plan like on month on the earth. I always keep thinking about this and that. Stupid things pop up in my mind every minute. I cannot stop myself from thinking. I try to take some sleep; on the other hand, I cannot sleep. Some people try to take some beer or wine to make them fall asleep. Anyway, I do not want to drink beer or wine to make me sleepy in the airplane. I usually look at the LCD screen to know where I am now, when I will arrive. When I had a trip to Malaysia, this was my first time that I took an airplane. I feel very frighten; nonetheless, I could handle it because it took only two hours. When I took an airplane to America, it was a very changeling for me. I had to fly from Phnom Penh to Seoul for six hours and From Seoul to Los Angeles for nine hours. It was a crazy time for me. If I can avoid talking a fly I will. When I graduate, I will go back to Cambodia and will not fly back to America.
4. Fear of snake
I hate and afraid of snake that is still alive, but I love to eat snake because the taste is very delicious. I am allergic to the snake. Whenever I see the snakes I will throw something to force them to go away from me. Some snake is not dangerous, no poison, and cannot kill me; however, I feel very bad about snake. I used to touch the snake. It made me so frightened. I don’t want to touch it. I don’t know how I can tell you about its skin. It is very smooth, red and shiny. It looks wet but it is not. Sometime I wonder why some people love snakes very much, raise them in their home, and treat them as pets.
5. Fear of death
Some people might not afraid of death, but I feel not good when I think about that. Whenever I think about it, I could do any things. I don’t know what I should do or what I need to do if someone told me I will die tomorrow. I sometime think about what will happen to me. It sounds like crazy when I think of death. Truly, I will die someday but why I need to afraid of death. I stop thinking about it when I try to convince myself that I have a lot of time and thing to do before I am death. I will be death but maybe I will die at age of 80 or something, I don’t need to care about that.
6. Fear of losing beloved persons.
Some people might have bad experiences of losing some value properties such as money, car, jewels, gems, diamond, gold, cell phone, or laptop and priceless properties such as key, pen, pencils, unused stuff, sun glasses or shoes. When losing something, I feel a little bit said; but a few days later, I will forget it. When losing a person I loved, it took me years to forget. When I was young, I always slept next to my grandfather and played with him. My grandfather passed away when I was 10 years old. At that time, I was very young, but I still had this feeling. I cried and felt very sad. I always cried when I think about my grandfather and I played together. It took me about three years to forget this fear. Losing family members or person I love is the thing that I fear the most. If I could stop the clock, I would. I want to keep the happy hour that I spend with my grandfather and I do not want to lost him and also other people who I love.

My Year of Resolution
New Year is just coming, but January is almost passed. This year must be a very busy for everybody. Some people have no job try to get a job. Some people who already have a job try to get another job or find a new job. Some students try to find part time jobs; unfortunately, International student cannot get a job. Don’t be mad, International student have a chance to work on campus. It is a good opportunity to work with other people and get some experience with American working environment. I have many plans and I hope I can do all the stuff that I have planned. I do not overload myself but I believe that I will fulfill jobs.
1. Spend more time with friends
Last year this time, I spent my time with friends and family in Cambodia. I had a very wonderful life over there, but now I spend the time alone every day. I have only friends in here. I hope in this New Year, I will have time to hang out with friends who I know. I will enjoy the movies, shopping, eating and drinking with all of them. It could help me forget this boring and lonely planet. I might have a lot of fun this year.
2. Spent more time with my blog
Everybody has one or more blogs at the moment. I have a few blogs, but I never have time to update those blogs. I want to spend more time update my blog for my proficient composition class and personal pleasure. For some reasons, some people think that writing is fun, but for me, it is not. Writing is the most boring job for me. I have never had this kind of feeling for other jobs. I prefer listening instead of talking and talking instead of writing. if some magical thing happened to me, I wanted to be a good writer and a person who loved writing.
3. Eat healthy food
I do not know much about food in America; however, as you can see many American adults are very fat. American becomes the country which has many obesity adult citizens in the world. Everybody is extremely busy with studying if they are students and working if they are the worker. Most parents are super busy with their jobs so they do not have time to cook for their children. So every day, they have fast as their breakfast, lunch or dinner. There are many fast food stores and it is easy to access them anyhow, fast food is not good for health. I want to gain more weights but not obesity. I try to avoid fast food, junk food and other unhealthy food. I try to spend time to cook lunch and dinner for myself.
4. Exercise
When I was in Cambodia, I play either table tennis or tennis every day. I arrived here for more than six months; I could go to play table tennis for three times and volleyball for four or five times. Being a student, the same as last year, this year is still very busy to me, anyhow, I rely that I have time to enjoy playing volleyball, table tennis, tennis or jogging. As I know, gym club in university is free student but not for extended education student. For me, as a student, health is every important. If I get sick I cannot go to school and study. If I cannot study I will not reach my goal and succeed in life.
5. Get enough TOEFL scores
TOEFL is another challenging job for me. Every times I took TOEFL test, I feel nervous no matter how well I prepared. I do not know what is wrong with me and why I always feel that. I think it is normal because not only me that have such a strange feeling. I know that some other people also have the same feeling like me. I should not worry about that. No matter what happen to me, I believe that this year I will get enough TOEFL score so that I can go to university and I no longer stay in ALP.

Me & Myself
Hi, my name is Hokseng Hun. Everyone can call me "Seng". It is short, simple and easy to call. I come from Cambodia. I am single. I have three brothers and one sister. I am middle born child. I am currently an ALP student. I have attended ALP program since summer 2010. I am not a geek; however, I really like computer and it is difficult for me to tell everybody how much I like it. I hate learning Languages; nevertheless, I have to do it. I am not only learning English, but I am also learning computer languages. I am a person who is easy to get along with, and friendly. I hope we can share our time, knowledge and experiences in order to improve our English language skill and ability through out semester. I do not like doing housework, washing clothes and cooking; however, I can cook almost all the Khmer foods.
Why I come to America?
I come to America for further education. I have short-term and long-term goal. My short-term goal is to get 550 TOEFL scores so that I can study at university. The long-term goal is to graduate a master of science in computer science from California State University, Fullerton as soon as possible so that I can go back to my home country.

I graduated a bachelor degree in computer science in 2002. I had worked for one private company for one year, and I had a few part time jobs before I worked for a government institution. I worked there for more than six years. All my jobs were related to computer such as network design, running network cable, network configuration, network administration, telephone system, database design, and web site design.

I love many sports, but only three of them that I love the most. They are Tennis, table tennis, and football. I like football but I don’t like to play. I like action, romantic, and comedy movies. I don’t like the movies that are so imaginary. I like slow music and romantic.
What do I like to read?
I like to read tech blogs, online news, and the books which are related to computer, and science. I do not like reading real books. I feel good and want to read more and more when I read electronic books on my computer.
What do I want to do in the future?
I want to be a software developer. I am not good at computer, but I believe that I can do it through learning and practicing all those stuff everyday.
Where do I want to live in the future?
I want to live in my home country. It is small but beautiful. Every day, I can see the real natural beauty of landscape everywhere and I enjoy eating the organic foods which are grown by local farmers with friends and family.
